St. Helena’s Church

Shot in July 2008 in Beaufort, South Carolina. St. Helena’s church was built in the 1700s, and sits near the center of Beaufort, a small coastal town near the Marine Corps’ Parris Island. At ground level in the photo, not shown, are the graves of Beaufort residents involved in the Revolutionary War. To this day, the church and cemetery are some of the oldest I’ve seen.
